Featured in an interesting video with a pretty odd soundtrack, the Mosler RaptorGTR was presented during 2011 as high end competition against supercars like the Ferrari F12 or the Bugatti Veyron. This alone and the fact that the car is absolutely unique have set its cost to a staggering $700,000 and is now available for purchase.
The supercar was crafted from extremely lightweight and expensive materials like carbon fiber, and is based on the LeMans Prototype Mosler have already worked on and tested for crashes. They have combined the chassis of the LeMans Prototype with a staggering engine, with obvious twin turbo system and a lot of upgrades to the exterior and interior.
The beasty Mosler RaptorGTR features a 7.0-liter twin turbocharged V8 that delivers a mind-boggling 838 HP. Weighing at around 2580 lbs, the car’s power to weight ratio is a staggering 649 HP/ton, which makes it able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in a whopping 2.6 seconds up to a top speed of 240 mph (386 km/h).
Ezra Dyer of Automobile Magazine described it to be “like a bomb went off behind the rear bumper and we’re surfing the shockwave.” It was rated the highest VPR score, of over 600, by AutoClub Revolution.
