Whenever you hear anything about the Maldives your mind is probably flooded by images with palm trees, pristine beaches and azure ocean waters. This is just what the Maldives are all about. A new addition to the stunning Republic of Maldives, The Residence Hotels has launched their 4th property during this autumn.

Located at the southern tip of the Maldives, on Gaafu Alifu atoll, The Residence Maldives comprises a total of 94 stunning overwater and beach villas. Part of The Leading Hotels of the World, easy access has been provided to the resort as the brand new Kooddoo airport was opened in September. In terms of accommodation, the superb beach villas boast with direct access to the ocean waters, to grand overwater suites and their sunbathing platforms, expansive living areas, sunloungers and large verandas.

Undoubtedly the staff surpasses all expectations. Flawless services are available all day long, while the villas feature their own butler on hand 24/7. They can tend to all guests’ needs and can arrange all sorts of activities and experiences like fishing, island-hopping to any of the 23 world class dive sites or watersports.

In addition, the only Clarins Spa in the Maldives can be found at The Residence Maldives Resort, also featuring a steam room, sauna and fitness centre. The spa is linked to the mainland by a gorgeous pontoon.

It provides a one off experience, boasting with traditionally elegant designs, a hair salon, an open-air deck space for yoga and meditation, 6 overwater pavilions and a plethora of lounging facilities from where guests can admire the breathtaking natural surroundings. They use rejuvenating techniques and signature treatments with ingredients extracted from plants.

For example, “reflexology” is a rejuvenating treatment which stimulates minute pressure points located in the soles of your feet, “pure” is a nourishing shoulder and scalp treatment through the use of warm virgin coconut oil, while the “heaven” consists of a series of head-to-toe massage techniques.
