Ever since it was launched, Paco Rabanne’s Invictus has been my favorite perfume, and this year the brand is expanding its awesome fragrance range with the feminine equivalent of this alluring scent. Called the Paco Rabanne Olympéa, the new fragrance returns to the theme of antiquity as a wonderful ode to strong and irresistible women.
Designed by Loc Dong, Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion with the image of a modern Cleopatra in mind, Olympéa is meant to ooze strength, dynamism, sensuality and charm, from a mesmerizing mix of sultry vanilla accords with floral and marine notes.
The scent of Olympéa will be immediately noticed in any room, with top notes of green mandarin, ginger flower and water jasmine, that lead the way for the tasty vanilla accords from the heart of the perfume, the scent settling down on a delightful base with notes of sandalwood and ambergris.
Even the bottle of Olympéa is beautiful and imposing, taking inspiration from the ancient world just like Invictus. Designed by Marc Ange, the bottle of this new Paco Rabanne fragrance features wings and laurel leaves in an unmistakable design.
The uber sweet Brazilian supermodel Luma Grothe has been picked by Paco Rabanne to promote this new scent, in a couple of beautiful shots and a short advertising film directed by Alexandre Courtès. Olympéa will be launched on the market only in the middle of August, with prices ranging from €48 for the 30 ml bottle to €88 for the 80 ml version.
