You can never really go wrong with gold and Versace shows exactly why this is. This new handbag series from the Italian luxury brand is as elegant and sophisticated as it is eye-catching.

Firstly there’s the all gold Athena Vanitas Bag, featuring the signature Medusa charm in gold enamel and iconic Barocco stitching. This 2.2 lbs piece comes with detachable shoulder straps, while its interior is lined with heritage printed silky twill and is subdivided to make it easier to organize your things. This bag comes with a price tag of $2,875.

Then there’s the laminated Vanitas Medea bag, adequately sized to hold the essentials for the evening. Priced at $1,995, it features a Greca chain shoulder strap, as well as baroque printed lining. Another item in the collection is the $1,925 Lamé Evening Bag. This stylish evening bag is made of 100% nappa leather and comes with a gold-tone chain strap, but can also be used as a clutch.

But the most extravagant of the series is definitely the $8,300 crystal-encrusted bag. A fine example of Versace elegance and style, it features the Italian brand’s logo, the Medusa, on its side.
