The House of Mouawad has just unveiled the Mouawad 1001 Nights Diamond Purse, the world’s most expensive handbag, valued at a staggering $3.8 million. The bespoke handbag has been already labeled by the Guinness Book of World Records as being the most expensive purse ever.
The luxurious handbag was revealed by Fred and Pascal Mouawad, the co-guardians of the House of Mouawad who also described what this precious bag is all about. The 1001 Nights Diamond Purse has been designed to mesmerize with its lavish attention to detail and elaborate workmanship incorporating thousands of diamonds.
The most expensive purse in the world was designed by Robert Mouawad and handcrafted by 10 artisans in over 8,800 hours. Featuring a lovely heart-shape, the handbag is handcrafted and incorporates 18 karat gold and exactly 4,517 diamonds: 105 yellow diamonds, 56 pink diamonds and 4,356 transparent diamonds with a total weight of 381,92 carats.
