Looking like a futuristic power source coming out of the ‘Star Trek New Generation’ series, this amazing piece of audio equipment sounds even more impressive than it actually looks. The Sony LSPX-S1 Glass Sound Speaker is a gorgeous 360-degree portable device, which uses a tube-shaped organic glass and doubles as a gentle light, while teasing your ears with the best of sounds.
The speaker’s driver actually transmits vibrations through the stylish glass cylinder, taking your portable audio experience to the next level. According to Sony, engineers went for glass because it was better suited for this project, as it resonates at frequencies similar to those of the human voice.
As such, the small Sony LSPX-S1 speaker is ideal for vocal-centric soundtracks, rather than bass-heavy tracks or instrumentals, but we’re sure every music you would play would sound incredible on this cool device. The battery-powered speaker may also be paired with a second speaker, thus delivering a stereo sound, but it all comes down to a price.
At $799 each, this speaker is out of some people’s reach, although those of us with a much more developed fashion sense will surely appreciate its appearance, plus its Bluetooth capabilities too. Sony will release this lovely speaker on the market in just a couple of days, so stick around!
