Interesting news have been revealed by Rolls-Royce recently, in connection to the brand new limited edition Ghost Firnas Motif. The car is based on inspiration drawn from the famous inventor Abbas Ibn Firnas, whose attempt to fly using feathery wings has become widely famous.
The mastermind behind the Rolls-Royce Ghost Firnas Motif is Khadim Al Helli, from Abu Dhabi Motors. The project is designed to “encapsulate Arab Andalusian culture” through a two-tone paintjob with the flight motif present on the coachline. The same pattern has been superbly imprinted on the dashboard, sill plates and headrests.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost Firnas Motif gets power, just like the stock version, from a turbocharged 6.6-liter V12 engine generating 563 HP (420 kW) and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft) of torque. The engine communicates with the wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission, enabling the car to do the 0-60 mph sprint in just 4.7 seconds and to reach an electronically-limited maximum speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
Although the price has remained undisclosed, the Rolls-Royce Ghost Firnas Motif will be produced as a special, limited edition series of just 5 units.
