The Phantom 2 Vision quadcopter by DJI Innovations is a fun and easy to use high-tech gadget that opens up a whole new way of taking pictures and shooting video.

It’s basically a small remote-controlled flying machine with a range of 300 meters (almost 1000 ft) and 25 minutes of battery autonomy fitted with a high quality camera. It has a field of view of up to 140 degrees and can shoot 14-megapixel stills and 1080p video at 30fps, storing everything on the included 4GB microSD card. The way which the camera is connected to the aircraft, by just four soft rubber plugs, greatly reduces vibration, making the images as crisp and clear as possible.

What’s really cool about the Phantom 2 Vision is that it comes with an app (for both iOS and Android devices) that gives you a lot of control over what you do with the camera. You can livestream video to your smartphone, tilt the camera, take pictures, record videos and download them easily to your device or share them over social media.

The Phantom 2 Vision was released at the end of last year and is available for the price of $1,119.
