The warm summer months are still quite a long ways away, but nothing can stop you from admiring some of the most jaw-droppingly beautiful places on the planet. So we’ve put together a list of the hottest beaches in the world. Which one do you like best?

10. The Endless White Sands of Seven Mile Beach

We start off where else but in the Caribbean, which is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. First on the list is the famous Seven Mile Beach, in Negril, Jamaica. Though not quite seven miles long, you’ll forgive the slight exaggeration when you’re there. And there’s certainly enough room along the shore for a little bit of everything, from luxurious all-inclusive resorts, to smaller, more cozy hotels. The beautiful scenery, the soft sand and the warm water offers a breathtaking setting for an unforgettable trip.

9. Clifton Beach, Where the Oceans Meet

South Africa may not be the first place you think of as a tourist destination, unless you’re into stuff like a safari. However this is a country with shores on both the Atlantic and the Indian Oceans, so you’re certain to find some amazing beaches. Located in one of Cape Town’s most exclusive neighborhoods, the best is undoubtedly Clifton Beach. With the mountains of Cape Town overlooking this almost pure white sand beach, Clifton offers truly unforgettable scenery. And the people you likely to meet are among South Africa’s rich and famous.

8. Postcard-perfect Lanikai Beach

Hawaii, the Aloha State, is littered with some of the best and most famous beaches in the world. And you can expect that the most beautiful of them thoroughly deserves its place on this list. That distinction falls to Lanikai Beach, on the island of Oahu. With its multitude of coconut trees watching over a great white sand beach and its clear blue waters, Lanikai offers a truly breathtaking scenery. It is also remarkably calm, as the shore is protected by a coral reef. This means Lanikai is the perfect place for a photoshoot, so you’re sure to see photographers and the hottest models in Hawaii.

7. Anse Lazio – Paradise in The Indian Ocean

The small Indian Ocean island nation of Seychelles is another great destination for people who love the sand and the sea. One of the most beautiful spots on the archipelago can be found on Praslin Island: Anse Lazio beach. Located on northwest tip of the island, it’s truly a heavenly place. The soft, white sand under your feet, the remarkably clear light blue waters of the Indian Ocean stretching as far away as you can see in front of you and the lush wall of palm and Takamaka trees behind you, you’ll definitely feel a little closer to paradise.

6. Hyper-exlusive Macaroni Beach

One hundred miles west of Barbados, among a string of islands known as the Grenadines, lies one of the most exclusive beaches in the world: Macaroni Beach. Situated on the east coast of the private island of Mustique, Macaroni Beach is every bit as beautiful as you would expect for a place this popular among the rich and famous. From Mick Jagger to Queen Elizabeth, rockstars and royalty have always enjoyed this secluded little paradise on Earth.

5. Ipanema Beach, the Hottest Place in Rio

We couldn’t go through a list of the world’s best beaches without making a stop in one of the most fun-loving and sun-worshipping countries in world, Brazil. The best place to be is without a doubt Rio’s Ipanema Beach. Located in one of the city’s more exclusive areas, this is a little bit different from the more quiet and secluded places we’ve featured on our list. It’s typical Brazil, with lots of beautiful people playing sports or just enjoying the hot South American sun.

4. The Surprising Charm of Biarritz

It’s time to bring a little bit of chic to the list – so, for now, we leave the wild, untamed beauty of the New World for a little bit of Old World class. And there’s no better place to do that than in the classy French town of Biarritz, on the Atlantic coast. La Grande Plage is perfect for people who want a beautiful beach, but also want to close to the comfort of civilization. You will also appreciate the town’s wonderful architecture, but also the great waves. Yes, surprisingly, Biarritz is one of Europe’s favorite surfer destination!

3. The Beautifully Wild Phi Phi Islands

Thailand is probably Southeast Asia’s most popular tourist destination. At just ninety minutes by boat from the island of Phuket (another popular tourist destination) stand the Phi Phi Islands, famous for their wonderful beaches and the rugged, natural beauty of its landscape. Phi Phi Don, the largest of the islands, is home to the most laid back people you will ever meet, and is also a great place for diving and snorkeling. But the smaller, uninhabited Phi Phi Leh is the place you really have to visit. It’s so beautiful and secluded, it was chosen as the setting for the movie The Beach, starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

2. The Mesmerizing Pink Sands of the Bahamas

The Caribbean is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world, with its many wonderful islands, surrounded by warm waters and inhabited by warm people. But if you’re looking for something really special, look no further than Harbour Island’s pink sand beaches. There’s something about that wide stretch of pink sand that makes everything just look better, from the wonderful Caribbean sea, to the people. So remember to bring your camera!

1. A Little Piece of Paradise: Matira Point

The jewel of the South Pacific, Bora Bora is a tiny island in French Polynesia. Protected by a barrier reef, its white shores stretch inside a stunningly beautiful turquoise lagoon. The most renowned beach is at Matira Point, at the island’s southern tip. It’s a place where you can really see why Bora Bora is called the “Romantic Island”. From the pristine environment, to the almost magical properties of the waters, which seem to just fade from jade to sapphire, to the feeling of great privacy it gives you – it’s the place perfect to take your special someone.
