Carrera y Carrera has recently unveiled a new sensitive and delicate jewelry line, called the Alegoría collection. Looking like a fine mix of beauty and pure, natural energy, the collection includes a lot of wonderful pieces, each of them inspired by the beautiful shape of butterflies.
Fascinating and full of meaning and soul, these incredible small winged creatures were turned into stunning pieces by the master goldsmiths at Carrera y Carrera, who wanted to pay tribute to eternal femininity with this incredible collection.
Using gold, sapphires and diamonds, the Alegoría collection consists of several gorgeous earrings, rings, and necklaces that stand out through their stylish combination of white and yellow gold, with pink sapphires and diamonds.
The maxi ring, for example, was one of the most difficult pieces to make. The designers from Carrera y Carrera wanted to create a sort of weightlessness combined with a subtle fluttering effect that could let you enjoy the movement of the butterfly wings from any angle.
The earrings from this new collection basically reinvent the concept of a classic earring, featuring a modern design that draws upwards as if the butterfly is just ready to fly. The silhouette of the butterflies from the earrings is filled with open work that makes is look even more intricately designed every time you look at it.
Last but not least, the maxi necklace is another piece worth mentioning, simulating a flock of butterflies, which seem to play with each other, bringing more movement to this extravagant piece.
