Skateboarding over grassy, rough terrains may seem quite impossible for the less experienced fellows, but what they don’t know is that there are a few options to smoothen the ride. An interesting fact that came to our ears is that Rockboard are releasing a new all-terrain skateboard, reportedly called the Descender, which sports treads similar to tanks instead of regular wheels.
This change actually has a downside, reflected into the speed of the machine. Unfortunately, there are just a few details available regarding the product, like the 31 x 10 x 5 inch dimensions, as well as a 90.7 kg (200 lbs) capacity. In addition, the drivetrain comprises 36 wheels in total, in four heavy-duty triple-wheel sets.
They are covered in a rubbery tread, ensuring a lot more traction than simple wheels. They can also tilt backwards and forward, allowing for a more stable street / sidewalk transfer.
The series of boards had reportedly had its debut at February’s Toy Fair in New York, voted as “the Best in Play” by Parenting Magazine. This precedes the Q2 launch, at a cost of $120. Check the photos out and decide whether you want your own Descender.
