The magnificent Stonebrook Court

This fabulous mansion in California is one of the most staggering residences that I’ve found of late. Located at 12335 Stonebrook Drive in Los Altos Hills, the so-called Stonebrook Court has been reigning over a breathtakingly panoramic area since 1914, when it was completed.

It is said that this true architectural artwork, the Stonebrook Court, used to host famous figures, stars and presidents. Lying at a mere 21 miles south of San Francisco, it was completely restored by its current owner during the last 7 years. The 30,000 square foot mansion tops a 7.5-acre superbly manicured estate, deep in the center of Silicon Valley. With this recent renovation, the manor was simply transformed into an extremely welcoming and exponentially opulent facility with modern amenities, ancient artworks and gorgeous detailing. It boasts with top notch security system, phone, internet, heating system that covers a whopping 16 zones and a state of the art audio system.

As for the interiors, the level of detail is amazing. The mansion comprises a gorgeous, formal living room with Italian-styled 12-foot wood ceilings and antique carved marble fireplace, a grand oak entry stair with plaster ceilings, library with mahogany bookcases, secret room with wet bar and beer taps, gourmet kitchen with mahogany island and onyx counters, inlaid wood flooring, 7 gorgeously appointed bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, large gym, breakfast room with new Gothic arch windows and a staggering ballroom with 16th century gilded Venetian ceiling paintings reportedly coming from Palazzo Grimani.

Outside you’ll find a garden building, garage that can accommodate three cars, caretaker’s house and miles of splendid terrain. It was initially listed for sale at $28.5 million, but the price has been recently lowered to $27 million. The listing can be found at Arthur Sharif of Sotheby’s International Realty.
