What you’re looking at right now is Singapore’s first hypercar, developed by an up and coming company called Vanda Electric. Named after a local orchid, the Dendrobium hypercar is an ambitious project that aims to drop our jaws with an astonishing 1,500 hp and 4,000 Nm of torque, not to mention a 0 to 100 km/h time of just 2.6 seconds.

Inspired by nature and built on technology, Dendrobium tries to shock and awe everyone looking at it, developed in collaboration with the Williams Advanced Engineering team. The hypercar will carry between 90 and 100 kWh of batteries, providing it with an impressive 400 km/249 mi range and allowing it to reach a mind blowing top speed of 400 km/h.

Vanda has engaged London-based design firm EPTA to come up with the sleek body-lines you see before you. Each and every one of them has been transformed into reality by using a mix of carbon and aluminium, which includes a super-low front grill and an interesting open rear section.

It’s also worth mentioning that Dendrobium will be part of a limited production run of 10 hypercars, although no one knows for sure how much one will cost. But, will it be thrilling enough to drive, sans the vibration, noise and all that retro and mechanical dynamics? We might see a working prototype next year. Your move, Tesla!
