We all know Aston Martin’s in-house bespoke division ‘Q by Aston Martin’ is responsible for some of the most amazing Aston Martins out there, that’s why we’re always very excited to share some good news from them.
For their latest project, the brilliant team from Q by Aston Martin has decided to honor the British automaker’s interesting partnership with legendary single malt whisky distillery, Bowmore. An odd choice, considering drinking and driving is not a good combination, but we will let that slide for now.
Called the Aston Martin DBX Bowmore Edition, this stunning vehicle will be produced in a limited series of just 18 units and each of them will be delivered to customers together with a private lifestyle experience in Scotland.
The bespoke DBX comes with a unique shade, dubbed Bowmore Blue, that was actually brought back by Q by Aston Martin exclusively for this car. However, customers could also choose an alternative exterior paint, a wonderful Xenon Grey paint which displays a blue metallic fleck throughout.
Customer deliveries will start only in the last quarter of 2021, so there’s still plenty of time to drool over these photos. Who can stop you from admiring the Bowmore-branded copper inlays that were actually sourced from the original whisky, or the SUV’s lavish features?
Let’s not forget about the optional black brake calipers, the smoked alloys, Aston Martin wing badges or the special Q by Aston Martin fender badges.
On the inside, Obsidian Monotone or Copper Tan Metallic, matched by Obsidian Duotone details are available – both choices emphasized throughout the cockpit by flashes of Bowmore Tweed.
The sophisticated design, courtesy of Islay Woollen Mill, also includes copper and blue, which is definitely a nice addition.
Various Q by Aston Martin design details are also obvious, including polished copper cupholders and sill plaques, while the gloss black center console trim inlay features bespoke hand-laid copper foil detailing.
We mentioned an adventure to Scotland, didn’t we? Well, each owner of this special Bowmore DBX will be invited to attend an exclusive Aston Martin Art of Living experience. A trip to Edinburgh, Scotland, will end with their very own special edition DBX waiting for them.
If you love single malt whiskey, you’ll be happy to know that this trip also includes a visit to the Islay Woollen Mill, the legendary Bowmore Distillery and fine-dining throughout a three-night stay in some of Scotland’s most special places.
Aside from that, owners will be allowed to hand-fill their own bottle of a 39-year-old, specially selected Bowmore straight from the cask. Count me in!
