One of the most anxiously awaited moments in the world of biking is the official launch of the staggering MV Agusta F3 800. It’s a three-cylinder demon that can’t wait to roam the world.
The MV Agusta F3 800 is some sort of a middle section bike, between the gorgeous MV Agusta F3 675 and the wonderful F4. This raises question marks though, as customers will genuinely eliminate the problems of choosing between the supersport F3 675 and the state of the art F4. Even the immensely fast 1090 is somewhat nearby.
The MV Agusta F3 800 is a very lively motorbike, powered by a 798 cc DOHC engine developing 146 HP and 88 Nm (65 lb-ft) of torque at 10,600 RPM. The top speed is quite jaw-dropping – 269 km/h (167 mph). It sports state of the art features like Electronically Assisted Shift (AES) and Motor&Vehicle Integrated Control System (MVICS) drive-by-wire, a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch, 4 torque maps and 8-level Traction Control.
Weighing at just around 173 kg (381 lbs) dry, it is extremely lightweight. Furthermore, it’s easy to control and stop as well, thanks to the Brembo radial calipers, Sachs rear shock and USD Marzocchi fork. The retail price of such a joyful vehicle reportedly starts at €13,990 ($18,275).
