Lexus has unveiled the high performance version of the Lexus RC, just a couple of days ahead of its official debut that will take place at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Dubbed as the Lexus RC F, this small supercar comes with the most powerful V8 engine ever produced by Lexus, a 5.0L that’s able to produce 450 bhp.
The RC F also features wider wheels and tires, an active rear wing, air scoops, cooling ducts and a lot of carbon fiber body parts to reduce the car’s weight a bit and also to improve the car’s aerodynamics. The active rear wing automatically deploys at 80 km/h (50 mph) and retracts when the speeds goes down 40 km/h (25 mph).
The interior of the car comes with a couple of unique features, compared to the standard RC, such as sporty dials, a new steering wheel, new seats, pedals and several trim parts. The center dial, for example, automatically adapts to the car’s four driving modes. We’ll be back with more information after the car’s official premiere in Detroit.
