Porsche Design Sport Adidas Bounce: S³ Sneakers

One of the most successful duos between two completely different brands in the world has struck again. Porsche Design and Adidas, forming the Porsche Design Sport, the Most Innovative Brand 2012 in footwear industry, have recently come up with the Bounce:S3, the third generation of the famous series.

Designed to be used during Fall/Winter season, the stunning footwear boasts with a suspension system inspired from Porsche’s cars, which converts vertical impact into forward propulsion for a wonderful ride. Decked in black and aluminum tones, very luxurious and slick, they feature the unique badging on the tongue.

In addition, for an extremely elastic running experience, Adidas and Porsche have designed and manufactured them with a semi-translucent outsole that gorgeously displays the shoes’ metal springs and pivot mechanism, all trimmed and garnished in a rather futuristic manner.

The Bounce:S series has already received an array of awards, like the Europe’s prestigious Plus X Award, two times, in 2008, the year in which the footwear were first released, and May 2012, due to the extremely comfortable ride ensured by the innovative mechanical shock system. Furthermore, this series was also named one of the best 50 inventions of the year 2008 by Time Magazine and has been awarded the German Red Dot Design Award, during the same year.

The Bounce:S3 by Porsche Design Sport is a limited edition pair of footwear, though, and only 500 pairs will be manufactured. They will reportedly be delivered in special boxes swathed in silver metallic foil. As for availability, they can be purchased from Adidas and Porsche Design stores.
