Pentax has recently unveiled a special edition of their K-5 digital camera, a high-performance camera that incorporates elegance in all of its meaning. This digital SLR camera will be available in a Limited Silver Edition, with silvered buttons, upgraded grip, it is capable of recording full HD quality videos at 25 FPS, scratch proof glass over the 3-inch LCD screen and a fine 16.3 MP CMOS sensor.

Above all, the K-5 features superb image- and video-capture abilities, but a thing to draw it out of the crowd is its weatherproof capability. This is possible due to a stainless steel chassis reinforced with magnesium alloy, specifically projected to resist sand, cold, moisture, particles, and, above all, water.

In addition to this gorgeous photographer’s joy, the specialists from Pentax also released three limited edition silver lens models, boasting state of the art silver finish, fitted hoods and caps plus a precision shaped barrel.

Sadly, the Pentax K-5 Limited Silver Edition Camera will only be available for purchase in the United States, in only a few units. During April, the limited edition Silver Kit, with the 40 mm f/2.8 lens, will be launched on the market, in the US only.
