Paton is a Milan-based motorcycle manufacturer with over a half a century of experience under its belt, even enjoying some success on the European racetracks a few decades ago. Now, the Italian company is revealing its very first street legal motorbike: the S1 Strada.

The frame was created by the engineers at Paton, with the main goal of bringing the weight down to as low as possible. The result is a wet curb weight of 348lbs (158 kg), so it’s safe to say that objective was achieved. This vintage-looking bike is powered by a 650cc parallel-twin borrowed from the Kawasaki Ninja with a power output of 72hp, bringing the top speed to a little over 130 mph.

The S1 Strada is available for pre-order at a price of about $22,000. A slightly modified version will be seen at the 2014 Isle of Man TT, with Englishman Olie Linsdell as the rider.
