London Fashion Week is always sure to provide some fashion news, and this time it involves British model Cara Delevingne. Her collaboration with British fashion company Mulberry has resulted in the creation of great new collection of purses.
Delevigne has stated that her main focus was on functionality. Each bag comes in three sizes, featuring three different colors: zesty emerald, cobalt or grey camouflage. The bags come with detachable straps, and can even be used as backpacks, underscoring the great versatility of the pieces. All three designs feature the well-known Mulberry brass hardware, the chunky dimensions of the iconic Bayswater and there’s even a special limited edition inspired by the model’s lion tattoo.
A Mulberry representative has praised Delevingne’s work and dedication to the collection. The model was deeply involved in the creation of the handbags, choosing the leathers, sketching ideas, discussing customers’ practical needs, even visiting factories and archives in order to get everything just right. And by the looks of things, she’s succeeded quite nicely.
