British luxury brand Alfred Dunhill keeps on doing what it does best: creating high-end, elegant goods. One of its latest releases is the Chassis leather collection, made as a tribute to the label’s association with early automobiles.
The series is inspired by the leather dashboards used by automobiles at the beginning of the 20th century and still encountered in some supercars to this day. The scratch-resistant, water-repellant leather is quite pleasant to the touch, while the three dimensional, carbon fiber effect on the pieces makes them easy on the eyes as well. Other elements include stylish D-rings, a padlock case and leather zipper pulls, all inspired by one of Alfred Dunhill’s signature features: the facet. The slim and angular facet glass was used by Dunhill when designing the interior lights of motor cars in the late 1930s.
Finally, the Chassis pieces come with circular leather ID tags which can be embossed with their new owner’s name. The collection can be had in midnight blue, British racing green, as well as chestnut brown or tan.
