Chevy Camaro ZL1

Chevrolet has just taken the wraps off the new 2017 Camaro ZL1, an aggressive beast, to say the least, that was designed to be the best of the best and excel at everything. Featuring a “flow-tie” grille, a large front splitter and a menacing hood, with a heat extractor, this vehicle will surely turn a lot of heads on the streets in the near future.

The aesthetic power of this thing is incredible, complemented by wide front fenders, aggressive side skirts and that difficult to ignore rear wing. The unique 20-inch forged alloys, benefiting from special Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar rubber, seem to be the finishing touch to a pretty amazing exterior.

Inside the cabin Chevy went for small changes, however, the designers did install Recaro sport seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and a special shifter with suede upholstery. Future owners of this beauty will probably appreciate the red contrast stitching and the special ZL1 badging, as well.

Being that this car bears the Camaro ZL1 badge, it should be really powerful, right? Well, under the hood you’ll find a supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 engine which develops exactly 640 hp and 640 lb-ft of torque, sensing it all through either a six-speed manual or an all-new 10-speed automatic transmission.

But this new Camaro is not all about straight line speeds, it’s about performance and handling as well. As such, the 2017 Camaro ZL1 comes equipped with a Magnetic Ride suspension, high performance Brembo brakes, and an electronic limited-slip differential – among other things. Your move, Dodge!

Chevrolet has announced the 2017 Camaro ZL1 will go on sale later this year, although there’s no pricing to talk about.
