Watch Life With Curiosity is a Paris-based company whose philosophy is centered around taking everyday objects and turning them into something stylish and remarkable. It is a place where skilled artisans and creative minds like Jeremy Kastelani (an up and coming leather goods maker) and Paulus Bolton (a patina expert) work together to create exquisite items with a focus on the aesthetics of urban lifestyle, and while using the finest materials.
The items we are showcasing here are series of five bicycles covered in crocodile leather. These very special bikes are customized in LDG workshops in California and feature wood and carbon rims, wheel spokes and vintage handlebars, in addition to the eye-catching crocodile skin which covers the frame. Each unit takes about 120 man hours to make and would set you back €22,000, which is more than $24,600.
Also part of the collection is a range of skateboards, also covered in crocodile leather. These boards are handcrafted by cabinet maker Clement Bouchonneau, with leather cover by Kastelani, and come with the price tag of €3,000, or about $3,360. Watch Life With Curiosity’s latest release also comprises a number of beach shingles, which, in keeping with the general theme here, are partially covered with crocodile skin, but also with stones covered in patina barenia leather. The beach shingles cost €250 ($280), while the price for the ones with patina stones is €395 ($440).
