Everyone knows of the latest Detroit Motor Show, where a large amount of brand new cars were unveiled, but today the Tokyo Auto Salon demands our attention. It was there where the Japanese tuning company Veilside presented their upgrade package for the Mercedes SL, named Fortune.
It is their first time when dealing with SL-class Mercedes, but they seriously managed to do a good job, creating a package inspired from the Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series. They have interpreted all its looks and created their own version of SL, with high attention to detail. The main aspects that prove this are the exposed carbon-fiber slots, as some of their signatures.
Furthermore, considering that the whole body kit of the car is made out of carbon fiber, including the rear bumper and spoiler, front bumper, side skirts, hood and fenders, it’s clear that they’ve gone pretty far from the stock version of SL.
The kits will be available at the prices of $39,000 or €31,000, in a limited edition series of just 300 sets. We’re wondering if they’ve changed anything performance-related.
