The Maserati MC12 Versione Corse is surely one of the most amazing Maseratis ever made. A staggering track-only supercar that could only be compared with the Ferrari FXX, this beauty has been actually developed from the MC12 GT1 which has won the 2005 FIA GT Manufacturers Cup.

Only 12 of these four wheel masterpieces were ever made and one of them has been recently listed for sale in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at ‘just’ $2,999,900. Featuring the chassis number #002, this 2005 Mc12 Versione Corse has only 55 miles on board, so you could say it’s practically new.

It comes in a lovely Blue Victory exterior paint with a black and blue interior and it’s powered by a massive 6.0L V12 which is able to produce 755 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 710 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. With all this power under the hood and weighting only 1,150 kg (2,535 lbs) you can only guess that this beast has an insane power-to-weight ratio.

The Versione Corse of the MC12 is able to sprint from 0 to 200 km/h (0-124 mph) in just 6.4 seconds and it could reach a top speed of 326 km/h (203 mph). These figures will literally make you squirm in your chair!

When it was released on the market it had a price tag of $1.47 million but since this supercar is so rare and it’s also probably the only one from this limited series which remained unused, the asking price of $3 million seems fair.
