For most of us the Rolls-Royce Wraith might be the definition of a luxury car, but it seems the are still some people around the world who think the Wraith is not really opulent enough for their tastes. They’s exactly why American designer Eddie Sotto, ex-Senior Vice President of Concept Design for Walt Disney Imagineering, has imagined this extraordinary upgrade.
Called the Rolls-Royce Wraith Regatta, his version of this bespoke car is basically in a league of its own, born from hard work and wild imagination, and inspired from classic wooden yachts, with mahogany planking on its hood, roof and on the rear section as well, plus many other exquisite details inside.
But before we get into any details, have we mentioned Sotto’s upgrade alone costs around $700,000? We just did… add in the price for the Rolls Royce Wraith itself and you’ll get to near $1 million, but hey, you get to pick out your favorite wood/paint mix for this super expensive high end coupe.
Sotto seems to have been disappointed by recent custom Rolls-Royce projects, which have lost the discreet and timeless elegance the British brand is known for. What he really appreciated is the Phantom II Boat Tail, due to its combination of lacquered wood planks and steel, which led to the Wraith that stands before you.
On the inside, things aren’t any less impressive or luxurious, this extraordinary vehicle featuring the same nautical theme you see on the outside. Pleas note the wooden finish on the door panels and dashboard, as well as the brass-trimmed vents and nautical-brass inlays.
Further customization will be done by the team at California-based Aria Group, so there’s no reason to worry, and if you’re in a good mood, you might be interested in purchasing a matching private jet based on the Embraer Lineage 1000E – for “just” $83 million.
