After making women feel weak at the knees with his signature red soles and allowing their fingers to be dressed-up in his amazing nail colors, Christian Louboutin is going even further by making divas drool over his new lipstick collection. The Parisian designer has just announced the launch of ultra-luxe Lipstick Collection, inspired by Queen Nefertiti and the lovely Art Deco movement.
The new lip color line features 38 incredible shades in three different textures: Silky Satin, which comes with 20 full coverage shades with a hint of shine, Sheer Voile, which includes 9 gossamer hues with a luminous glow, and Velvet Matte, that features 9 opaque pigments with a soft matte finish.
Designed to look exactly like a piece of jewelry, the collection’s signature colors will be housed in special black lacquered or dazzling gold cases. Each lipstick is encased in luxurious cone or bullet-shaped vial, topped with studded crowns, each of them outfitted with a tiny ring.
Thanks to that tiny ring, each lipsticks can be even transformed into a pendant, by threading a thin ribbon or chain through its loop. If that’s not a cool idea then.. I really don’t know what is. The new Christian Louboutin lipstick collection is scheduled to hit the shelves of Saks Fifth Avenue this September, with a price-tag of $90 for each desired color.
