The 12.27 carat Majestic Pink Diamond has recently entered market in a very unusual way for such a large and superb jewel. It has been made available by the New Orleans based M.S. Rau Antiques mounted on an 18 carat rose gold and platinum ring, bearing a mind boggling price tag of no less than $7.85 million.
Described by VVA1 (Very, Very Slightly Included) and Type IIA designation, the Majestic Pink Diamond is a piece highly wanted by collectors, and, given its tremendously high clarity, it’s also a rare kind of stone. Flawless, as proven by the Type IIa Designation, its color and purity are staggering.
The ring, with the superb Majestic Pink Diamond, will be on display on the 1stdibs.com website starting the 8th of August. Physically, it can be seen at the Baltimore Summer Antiques Show, between the 23rd and 26th of August – a beauty worth $7.85 million.
The level of clarity on this diamond is almost unbelievable… I definitely can this being a huge draw at the Baltimore Summer Antique Show this year. Whether it’ll find a buyer there, is much harder to say.
