While there isn’t really much in common between the prestigious Italian automaker Lamborghini and the luxury goods brand Tonino Lamborghini (although the founders of the two companies are from the same family), the Tauri 88 smartphone can be considered the supercar of mobile phones.
The highly exclusive piece by Tonino Lamborghini embodies everything that makes its four-wheeled namesake so extraordinary. The device is exquisitely crafted from steel and leather, and comes with a 5-inch 1080p display with an oleophobic (smudge-free) coating over the Gorilla Glass 3 layer. In terms of technical specs, the phone is quite decent, with a quad-core, 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801, 3GB of RAM, a 3,400mAh battery, a 20MP rear camera with a dual LED flash, and an 8MP camera at the front. Finally, the operating system is Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
Not something you’re likely to encounter too often, only 1947 units will be released by Tonino Lamborghini (the number represents the year the founder was born). Each Tauri 88 smartphone comes with a price tag of $6,000.
