Aston Martin is surprising the world with their all-electric, all-wheel driven DBX Concept.

The sleek and stylish car reveals Aston Martin’s new take on the luxury GT segment. According to the carmaker’s CEO, Dr. Andy Palmer, “it envisages a world, perhaps a world not too far away, when luxury GT travel is not only stylish and luxurious but also more practical, more family-friendly and more environmentally responsible.” Thus, the DBX Concept features a sporty, yet elegant look, with a unique paint finish with the awesome named of Black Pearl Chromium. Designed to look like genuine black pearl, it comes with a micro-fine layer of chrome to deliver more reflectivity than your usual paint finish – not to mention the fact that it looks great as well.

This, however, is more than a car with a futuristic design and a new philosophy. It boasts electric, inboard-of-wheel motors, powered by lithium sulfur cells, in addition to a plethora of state-of-the-art technologies like drive-by-wire electric steering, toughened glass with an auto-dimming ‘smart glass’ inter-layer, and active LED lights.

Like many concept cars, it’s likely the DBX Concept will never actually see production. However, if this is a sign of things to come from Aston Martin, the future look amazing, either way.
