The fabled BaselWorld 2013 has come up with a load of exquisitely manufactured timepieces that have all left us jaw-dropped. Some of these are the Ulysse Nardin Skeleton Tourbillion, the Breguet Reine de Naples and the TAG Heuer Carrera Caliber 36 Flyback Racing. But the one which many have called a centerpiece was the Hublot Classic Fusion Haute Joaillerie timepiece with a price tag to start thunderstorms.

The latest proof of luxury coming from the Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot owes the humongous price tag to a huge number of diamonds that were encrusted onto its surface by the manufacturers, the piece in the end having become not only a proof of exquisite craftsmanship but also a work of art.

You can even consider it a half-breed between the technology of the 21st century and traditional craftsmanship, as it combines these in an absolutely perfect manner. The quantity of diamonds mounted on this watch reach the astounding number of 1185, with sources like Yakutsk, in the Russian Eastern Siberia. It is even among the few luxury timepieces to boast diamond studs within the open worked dial frame. Notably, the crown itself was fitted with diamonds for an extra bling factor.

Some of the characteristics of the Hublot Classic Fusion Haute Joaillerie wristwatch, apart from its amazing $1 million price tag, are the 120 hours of power reserve and the water resistance of as deep as 30 meters. A total of 4 months were spent on working on this timepiece thanks to 25 highly experienced experts, and just 8 will ever be made.
