New York City is famous for its sky-scrapers, many of which feature luxurious penthouse suites. One of these is Baccarat Hotel and Residences, a 50-story building located in the middle of Manhattan. The penthouse that proudly sits on top of it is a stunning duplex featuring five bedrooms, five and a half baths and jaw-dropping views of the Big Apple through its 14-foot floor-to-ceiling windows.

Decorated by interior designer Tony Ingrao, this 7,381-square-foot penthouse is opulent, as well as warm, welcoming and livable. We’ve already mentioned the windows which let copious amounts of natural light in, which complements perfectly with the warm exotic woods, white onyx, frosted mirror glass and chrome finishes. There are also accents of Baccarat crystals placed throughout the home, like a light fixture in the foyer and the custom crystal inlay handle found in the Zircote wood-paneled entry door.

On the lower floor you will find a very spacious living room, a well-appointed kitchen and the double-height loggia that spans the length of the building’s east side. The upper floor, on the other hand, has the 1,150-square-foot master suite, located in a private wing with its own sitting room and dual dressing rooms. The bathroom features a Victoria & Albert floating bathtub which actually offers a great view of the city.

Everything in the penthouse, the lighting, shades, climate, audio and visual tech, can be controlled through touchscreens scattered around the place, or through your mobile device. These screens also connect you with the hotel’s services, like the 24-hour concierge.

This sumptuous island of luxury and sophistication located in the middle of Manhattan is on the market for the cost of an actual island: $60 million!
