Scenic Cruises is a company which specializes in offering what it calls “the ultimate river cruising experience.” Its fleet of elegant yachts travels all over Europe on a number of different itineraries, on some of Europe’s most picturesque waterways, including the Danube, the Rhine, the Moselle, and the Main. The latest addition to the list is a 12-day Bordeaux River Cruise, set to begin in the second half of next year.
The journey starts in Paris with a stay at a luxury hotel, from where the guests will travel to Bordeaux, where they embark on the Scenic Diamond. This veritable five-star floating hotel features ample public areas, private balconies which can become indoor lounges, and Mac mini infotainment systems which go well together with the ship’s complimentary Wi-Fi. There will also be plenty to do when on land – guests will have all the information about this using the Scenic Tailormade handed GPS guided touring system.
The Bordeaux River Cruise is scheduled for seven departures between August and October 2015. Some of the stops along the way are Cadillac, Saint-Émilion, Arcachon, Libourne, Médoc, and Cognac, where travelers get the chance to sample brandy at Rémy Martin. Pricing starts at $5,580 per person.
