The Geneva Motors Show, due to happen during March, will boast one more long-awaited event besides those we’ve talked about so far – the presentation of the newest Ferrari, the updated 2013 California. In terms of visual characteristics, the new model does not differ much from the current California, just a few new color choices, while the interior will feature various new trims.
What’s more important, the performances, have known quite a small upgrade. The car’s 4.3-liter V8 engine is now delivering 490 HP and 505 Nm of torque at 5,000 RPM. This means a 30-HP increase than the latest model, but the performance boost is notable due to the vehicle’s 30-kg reduced weight.
The newest California model boasts a re-mapped ECU and improved exhaust manifolds, the torque curve getting some sort of modifications as well. The car now accelerates to 62 mph (100km/h) in about 3.8 seconds.
Regarding maneuverability, it’s been bestowed a new Handling Speciale package, with a few suspension upgrades. The ECU that particularly controls the Magnetorheological dampers has known improvements, with 50% faster current response times. The package also offers a new steering box with 10% faster steering ratio, smaller steering wheel angles and stiffer springs.
We’re currently waiting for more info regarding the pricing and availability of this gorgeous vehicle.
