With our concern for the environment getting increasingly the focus of attention in these past years, when dealing with technology and automotive innovation and design, electric motorcycles are filling the needs of adrenaline junkies and speed freaks in a green way.
That’s why Expemotion have developed the ‘e-raw’ fully electric bike, featuring a striking design that will surely prove to be a game changer in the next years, with molded wood being brilliantly mixed with electronics and metal.
The goal of this project was to allow mechanics and electronics to work together, in harmony, with both transparency and durability. Designed by Martin Hulin, this gorgeous bike was inspired by classic customs and café racers, as the expemotion ’e-raw’ wonderfully points out. Four craftsmen contributed to turn this project into reality, using raw materials, such as metal and wood.
The tubular steel frame houses the batteries and supports the plywood seat post. Over 80 layers have been molded to create this wooden piece, making the seat post elastic and rigid at the same time – not to mention environmentally-friendly and totally recyclable. No info on technical specs or performance, just yet. We’d surely love to see this beauty on the streets one day!
