With a name that instantly symbolizes class and exclusivity, the Earl Of Strauss is a timepiece worthy of the most titled nobility – at least by the looks of things. English watchmaker and jeweler Backes & Strauss has added another gem to the incredible designs the brand is well-known for, a marvelous timepiece powered by a Franck Muller-designed movement.
Featuring a total of 677 polished diamonds, which adorn the case of this watch, its crown, dial, bezel, bridge, buckle, and even its partially skeletonized horologic heart, the Earl of Strauss was definitely meant to stand out from a crowd. This high-end watch actually honors Backes & Strauss co-founder Max Strauss, the man who helped solidify the world’s oldest diamond company.
The jewelry atelier’s ostrich logo can be seen on the balance wheel, just in case some people won’t recognize the true value of this piece. It’s also well worth mentioning that Backes & Strauss will produce only 25 examples of this luxury timepiece, set to be launched on the market by the end of December.
But as you probably imagine, diamond-studded designs come at a very high price, which is why aside from the limited series, you should also consider the $98,000 price-tag. We’re thinking this is one Christmas present you have certainly earned; are we right?
