Dior has always taken great pride in their wonderfully crafted bottles, most notably the gracious amphora design, chosen by Christian Dior all the way back in 1947 for his first perfume, Miss Dior. The very same amphora served as inspiration for the bottle which currently holds the exquisite J’Adore perfume.
The recipient’s curvy design is similar to the silhouette fashioned by the couturier-parfumeur, and borrows from the grace and elegance of ancient craftsmen’s works. In fact, it appears Dior really intends to bring back the iconic vessel, with its “new generation of amphora” set to hold all of the brand’s most famous fragrances, from classics like Miss Dior, to the more contemporary J’Adore and Addict.
These magnificent perfume bottles represent a highly exclusive offering available only at the Salon du Parfums, with each amphora made to measure, and engraved with the date or the customer’s initials, if he or she so desires. Each bottle is then sealed with a perfumer’s bow and features a star motif (which is Christian Dior’s favorite symbol) stamped on the bottom. Every such recipient can be filled with one of Dior’s 43 excellent fragrances.
