Daredevils Will Love The Bugatti Chiron Sport ‘Les Legendes Du Ciel’
According to Bugatti officials, the French supercar maker had close associations with aviation from the very beginning, which is why it was their moral duty to honor the legends of that time – hence, a new special edition hypercar. We all love that, right?
With only 500 Bugatti Chirons scheduled for delivery, the excitement we get from the introduction of a new special Chiron edition is always off the charts.
Imagined as an homage to famous racing drivers from the last century, the Bugatti Chiron ‘Les Legendes du Ciel’ (which translates to Legends of the Sky or Heaven) is part of a super limited series of only 20 units, each one priced at a staggering €2.88 million or around $3.48 million.
For that kind of money, Bugatti made sure that numerous exclusive touches would welcome the few lucky owners, inside and out.
Scheduled to enter production by the end of the year, this very exclusive hypercar shows off a gorgeous Gris Serpent exterior shade, inspired by 1920s aircrafts.
Complementing this eye catching exterior, a white gloss center stripe, as well as the blue, white, and red colors of the French flag on the front area of the carbon fiber sills, will give anyone a glimpse of what just passed by.
There is also a special logo on the front fenders, with the glossy black horseshoe grille, exposed carbon fiber, and Inconel exhaust adding to the seductive capabilities of this hypercar.
The ‘Les Legendes du Ciel’ logo is also projected onto the ground, allowing this Bugatti to greet owners upon opening the doors.
Once inside the cabin, you might not want to get out. Gaucho leather, aluminum trim and an aluminum inlay with the ‘Les Legendes du Ciel’ logo on the headrests and special edition numbering will make sure you feel you have gotten your money’s worth – comfort seats and a glass roof are also available as an option.
Under the bonnet, we get the same raw Chiron power. A black exposed carbon fiber engine cover graces above the massive quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 engine, that develops a cool 1,500 PS (1,479 HP / 1,103 kW) and 1,600 Nm (1,180 lb-ft).
That’s more than enough to propel the Chiron Sport towards a mind boggling top speed of 420 km/h (261 mph).
