It’s always difficult to find great Christmas gifts, even when money is no object. If you’re looking for something really special this year, you can gift yourself a picturesque medieval Italian village and become a duke of sorts – provided you have a few dozen million dollars lying around, that is!

Located in the central Italian province of Umbria, the Borgo is 22 miles (35 km) away from Spalato and about 45 miles (72 km) from the region’s capital, Perugia. It is a charming spot, so much so that it has been declared a monument of historical and artistic interest by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage (something which says a lot about the place, since the country is known for its rich history and culture).

The village has been fully restored and is thus in excellent condition, ready to greet its new owners and their guests. There are no fewer than 59 independent apartments, some boasting gardens or terraces, as well a restaurant and a few small shops. There’s even a church, which gives the village a really authentic feel.

This unique estate is currently for sale for the price of €22.8 million, or about $27.9 million.
