Batman, as a character, was created by two individuals, one of them was an artist, Bob Kane, and the other one a writer, Bill Finger. The fictional superhero, first featured in a comic book, was introduced to the public during May 1939. In fact, there are two characters in one, as Bruce Wayne is the rich man that becomes Batman when needed – just like Clark Kent and Superman, a double-life single character.
Batman’s fans have been presented a surprise: preceding the last of the Batman series, “The Dark Knight Rises”, directed by Christopher Nolan, a famous collectible manufacturer based in Hong Kong, Hot Toys, has designed and manufactured an incredibly accurate miniature reproduction of the Batman / Bruce Wayne character, a collectible action figure scaled 1/6th, including a collectible Bat-Pod vehicle. Prior to the much-awaited movie’s release, due to happen around the 20th of July, a 13-minute trailer has also been released, of The Dark Knight Rises, to prepare fans for what is to come.
Hot Toys have acquired the official merchandising rights to be able to manufacturer and commercialize the miniature replica, which is definitely going to raise the hairs of Batman fans. The action figure presents itself as an extremely detailed copy of the fictional character. The Batman / Bruce Wayne action figure features the iconic image of actor Christian Bale, with a movie-accurate head sculpt.
In addition, the toy comes with a parallel Eyeball Rolling System (PERS) on Batman’s head, specially manufactured fabric costume with armor based on the costume design of the fictional movie character, accessories, weapons and three interchangeable lower face sections the capture three of the character’s classic facial expressions. In addition, the package includes the Bat-Pod collectible vehicle, with a similar degree of detailing, just like the action figure.
The action figures are just a few of the plethora of items related to the comic book superhero. The Batman nr.1 comic book, for example, was sold for a massive $850,000. While waiting for the last part of the sequel, due to be premiered on the 20th of July, make sure you check out the 13 minute trailer. Sadly, we’ve got no info on the action figure’s availability and price.
