The Aquabotix HydroView is one of the most technologically advanced and adventurous mini-subs of today, bearing features that modern day civilization live on. The gadget can be easily controlled, remotely, by an iPad, and can shoot quite nice videos, up to 1080p resolution.

It can see into the water up to a distance of around 150 feet, while submerged, and comes equipped with LED lights, a top side box connectable to a cable tether and a three hour battery. Weighing just nine pounds, it is quite a light device to carry with you on your journeys. In addition, the small contraption can be interacted with via PC, Mac or iPads.

Its video shooting ability comes completed with the capability to take pictures of what it sees, also being able to gather any sort of data regarding the water composition and conditions. Its maximum speed is around 1 knot when going in reverse, and a faster 5 knots when heading forth. Priced at $4,000, it isn’t too expensive, nor is it cheap. It’s just for those who can afford and fancy such interesting toys.
