Good news coming from the Japanese automaker Nissan – the 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition has gone into sale in the United States, as limited edition.
I have to be honest with you – I absolutely adore this beast! It comes with a price that’s around $16,000 higher than the Premium Nissan GT-R. The Track Edition is even considered a supercar, “even closer to a pure motorsports competition machine”, boasting carbon fiber air ducts, brake cooling guides and forged aluminium wheels wrapped in Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST CTT Ultra-High Performance run-flat tires. In addition, the 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition sports sports-tuned suspension with higher spring rates, special Bilstein DampTronic shock absorbers and carbon fiber rear spoiler. Inside, the Nissan receives a set of two-tone Recaro sports seats and quilted cloth mat in the spot where the rear seats used to be placed.
Now, let’s talk about the power! The 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition is propelled by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that delivers a superbly nice 545 HP (406 kW) and 627 Nm (463 lb-ft) of torque. The plant is mated to a 6-speed dual clutch transmission able to shift between gears in a whopping short 0.15 seconds.
The 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition will reportedly be available in the United States as a limited edition of just 150 units, each priced at $115,710.
