There’s no muscle car out there better known than the Ford Mustang. Roush is a company well known for refining Mustangs and they’ve recently taken the 2013 model and transformed into a beast. Let’s see what they’ve done.
The upgrading process revealed three quite different packages. The Stage 1 features an aerodynamic body kit, which includes a hood scoop, revised grille and front splitter. In addition, they’ve added a rear diffuser insert, extended side skirts and a rear spoiler.
Stage 2 on the other hand features some control and comfort-related upgrades, like a brand new sport-tuned suspension with twin-tube shocks, larger front stabilizer bar and new springs, plus Cooper RS3 high-performance tires that encase four 18-inch aluminum wheels.
The best of them all, the stage 3 package, sports all the upgrades stated above, plus some welcome performance ones. It also includes a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 motor that delivers 565 HP (421 kW) and a back-breaking 683 Nm (505 lb-ft) torque. The interiors have also been trimmed a little bit, now boasting special badging, embroidered floor mats and brand new instrumentation and dials.
We also found out that the 2013 Roush Mustangs will start being available during this month with 36,000 mile bumper-to-bumper or 3 year warranty. Things is, if we had one of these, we surely wouldn’t want to crash them at all.
