The brand new 2016 Nissan GT-R has been unveiled just a couple of weeks ago by the Japanese automaker, featuring a couple of interesting updates and a little more power than its predecessor. Nissan has also prepared a special edition of this jaw dropping supercar, which brings a tribute to the GT-R’s long heritage of high performance.

The special version of the 2016 GT-R is called “45th Anniversary Gold Edition” and will come with a wonderful gold paint and “Silica Brass” hues like the ones seen on the 2001 Nissan Skyline GT-R. This edition is based on the top of the line GT-R premium, and it will be produced in a limited run of just 45 units, half of them probably going to the States.

The 2016 Nissan GT-R 45th Anniversary Gold Edition will also come with a special gold-tone VIN plate located right in the engine compartment and a special tribute plaque on the center console inside the cockpit. Nothing changes under the hood though, as this limited edition is powered by the same 3.8L twin turbo V6 engine as the standard model.

The price for this anniversary model will be $102,770, just $1,000 more than the Premium version of the GT-R.
