You might remember that Icelandic volcano with the impossible name that disrupted air traffic throughout the Northern hemisphere for a few months back in 2010 – Eyjafjallajökull. As a tribute to Mother Nature’s awesome power, Swiss luxury watchmaker Jerome Romain has created a new timepiece – the Eyjafjallajökull-Evo. Part of the Eyjafjallajökull-DNA collection, this remarkable watch comes in a vintage-looking 43 mm case made from black PVD-coated steel.

This unique piece features a few volcanic-themed elements, like the lava stone used at the base of the dial, with a crack on its left side from which lava seems to seep out. The minute and hour hands are reminiscent of airplanes, which were grounded for quite some time during the 2010 eruption. Also worth noting is the fact that the watch comes with an elegant alligator strap with black PVD-coated steel pin buckle.

The only 99 Eyjafjallajökull-Evo timepieces will be released, each with a price tag of $15,900.
