Mecum will auction off a gorgeous Aston Martin Vulcan at the Monterey Car Week this year, which means people with really deep pockets will get the rare chance to own a piece of automotive perfection, #11 of the very limited-series of just 24 track-only hypercars coming from the British automaker.

Inspired by GT3 racecars, the Vulcan brags about a massive 7.0-liter V12, developing 800 hp and mated to a 6-speed Xtrac sequential race transmission. The supercar was built around a carbon fiber monocoque body, featuring a FIA-compliant steel roll cage, and a special steel subframe meant to handle the massive downforce the Vulcan is capable of generating.

Packed with a four-way adjustable pushrod double wishbone suspension, front and rear adjustable sway bars, Brembo 4-wheel Carbon Ceramic racing disc brakes and center locking alloys, you should not be surprised if the asking price for this Aston Martin reaches unparalleled levels.

On the inside, this vehicle is equally impressive; full carbon fiber Recaro racing seats, 6-point racing harnesses from Schroth, an adjustable AP Racing Pedal box, a bespoke carbon fiber steering wheel and a Cosworth Omega digital dash, await for that one single person who gives it all to own this ravishing supercar.

This particular Vulcan shows off a unique “Midnight Purple Pearl” paint-job, and is 1 of only 2 units that are now rocking the roads in the United States. This Aston seems to give a new meaning to the word astonishing.. we’re just wondering for how much it would sell.
