The people over at Italian design studio Ak47 chose that name deliberately, both for name recognition and provocative appeal, but also in admiration of the legendary assault rifle’s excellent design. The actual products they create, however, are as far removed from the company’s namesake as you can imagine – things like the unique Zero Fireplace.
As its name suggests, we’re talking about a round, outdoor fireplace, perfect for small social gatherings. It comes in a ready-to-assemble kit and is made up of the following elements: the combustion chamber covered by a disc which presents the collection of water, as well as keeping the ashes from spreading, a grill, and plenty of storage space for the fire wood. The entire thing weighs about 320 kg (a little over 700 lbs), but its modular nature allows for ease of assembly and use wherever it is needed.
