Back in 2014, Dutch shipyard Royal Huisman unveiled the 47.65 meter classic sloop Wisp. She made her maiden voyage in the fjords of Norway, before heading to the Mediterranean where she spent most of last year’s summer season. Wisp’s naval architecture and exterior look is the brainchild of Dutch company Hoek Design Naval Architecture, while her interiors are the work of Rhoades Young Design.

Wisp is built entirely from aluminum and boasts some pretty remarkable performance figures for her traditional design. The ship’s owners requested a supremely comfortable vessel capable of holding her own in a competitive setting, and Royal Huisman duly delivered.

The interiors are clean, elegant, and contemporary, as per the owner’s instructions, providing an excellent environment in which to sail the world’s oceans. Light oak was chosen as the main material utilized throughout the interior, with dark wenge inlays and fine fabrics in bold colors providing a bit of contrast. Accommodations include three cozy and well-appointed en-suite cabins, plus the magnificent full-beam owner’s suite. The exteriors are also quite appealing, and will definitely provide some excellent vantage points as the owners and their guests explore some of the world’s most picturesque waterways.

So wherever she may head to next, Wisp will certainly doing so in style, a floating, sailing proof of Royal Huisman’s expertise and craftsmanship.
