Toyota FT-1 Graphite Concept Might Be Long-Awaited Supra Successor

The Toyota FT-1, unveiled at the beginning of the year, already looked really awesome in red (sports car seem to be like that, don’t they?), but the Japanese carmaker has found a way to make the vehicle even more appealing.

Showcased last week at Pebble Beach, the Toyota FT-1 Graphite Concept looks like something out of a sci-fi flick, with its sleek and stylish new livery. Unfortunately, Toyota doesn’t seem to have any plans to actually release a market version of the vehicle, so no technical specifications have yet been released. If it’s similar to the version you can drive in Gran Turismo 6, the Toyota FT-1 will feature a 485 horsepower engine.

It is interesting that the company would keep the hype for this concept car alive, rekindling it after more than half a year with a new model. There could be a connection between these releases and the fact that Toyota has applied in February for the renewal of its Supra trademark, making the FT-1 the long-awaited successor to the iconic sports car.
