The world’s most expensive cheese sandwich

The Frome Cheese Show, which claims to be the oldest show of this kind from UK hopes to set the record for the world’s most expensive cheese sandwich. There is no current official record for the most expensive cheese sandwich but Martin Blunos has created one with cheddar blended with white truffles and sprinkled with gold dust that costs £110.59 (around $170).

The current record for the world’s most expensive commercially available sandwich is held by the Cliveden Hotel in Berkshire with a £100 ham sandwich but Mr Blunos has already applied to Guinness World Records to have his cheese sandwich recognised.

The white truffle fuses beautifully with the West Country cheddar and the editable gold dust gives it a really special look and also a unique taste. From the images we’ve received with the sandwich, we can definitely say it looks tasty but I don’t know if there’s anyone who would pay $170 just for a sandwich.
